Approximately 2 hours (including training)This new tour will go around the perimeter of the Borough of Gettysburg. You will hear stories about the fighting in the streets of Gettysburg and how the citizens coped with more than 22,000 wounded soldiers that were left behind by the two armies.

The tour, led by a knowledgeable and experienced guide, will go beyond the common tales of Tillie Pierce and Jennie Wade and will include the lesser-known Gettysburg sites and stories. You will see and hear stories about battle-damaged buildings, the German Reform Church, Race Horse Alley, Oak Ridge, and the "Old Dorm" of Pennsylvania College, the former sites of the the Eagle Hotel, Gettysburg Academy, and post-war sites associated with Frederick Douglass, Eddie Plank and Dwight D. Eisenhower.
